Radio Riel broadcasts daily and at special events around Second Life
Radio Riel is an Internet radio station on air daily, playing an extensive variety of music for listeners with eclectic tastes, and with a focus on historical material.
The station also provides music for a wide range of special events. Tune in and you will hear: Classical, Folk, Celtic, Early and Later Jazz, New Age, Late 19th Century Popular, Mediæval, Renaissance, Rock, Pop, Electronica, Dance and more.
Radio Riel works with the Alexandrian Free Library to present a regular programme entitled From the Library in which Radio Riel presenters play selections from their personal music collections and write about them on the Radio Riel web site. In addition, the station broadcasts public domain audio book versions of classic works chosen as the Library's Book of the Month.
The station has three 24/7 audio streams: Main, Steampunk, and New Toulouse. In addition, the station has two events streams used for private functions, especially non-"period" events.
